Date wood Scroll & Tuning Pegs

Scroll/Top and Tuners are made of date wood, which is of great toughness and not easy to crack. The finish of the body is in an antique style, making the appearance of violin pretty elegant.

Exquisite Design

Each part of the violin is designed carefully by makers, which allows optimal performance of the violin. Position of F-Holes and soundpost is meticulously calculated.

●Aklot violin has only 1 fine tuner. It’s on E string. Other 3 strings don’t need fine tuner to tune.

Soft Chin & Shoulder Rest

Everything needed for you to play the fiddle is all included in the package you’ll receive. Chin rest is specially painted and polished to protect you from being harmed during your performance. Shoulder rest is removable and soft.

Handcrafted Lines

The side and edge of the violin are fully hand-slotted. Black lines are embedded manually but not painted. Slot depth is moderate, which makes differences on the protection of the violin from being cracked by changes of climate/temperature, and make the sound fuller.

Use of Bow

1.Before you use, tighten the violin bow screw, and keep the horsehair in the middle part away from the bow rod by about 0.40 inch.

2.Use sandpaper to sand the rosin, then rub the horsehair back and forth evenly by using the rosin, till the violin can sound while you play.

3.After you use, loosen the bow screw to relax the horsehair as to extend the working life of the bow.

4.Wipe off the powdered rosin on the horsehair with a cloth/soft tissue. DON’T touch the horsehair by a dirty hand!

Guidance of Using Tuners

1.Before you use, it’s better to rub rosin to the tuning pegs and holes to enhance stability.

2.Tighten the peg and make sure the peg is neither too loose nor too tight.

3.Tune the strings to G-D-A-E from left to right. Push into the peg gently after tuning to keep the tune.

Notes:

a. Usually when you are tuning a new violin, it is possible that you can’t stabilize the pitch at a time. When this happens, please take a few more tries. It is quite normal for a new violin.

b. You can download an app which has the function of identification of pitch/tune from appstore on your phone to help you tune your violin.

Tips on Installation of Strings

1. Before you install the strings, you need to make clear the position of the 4 strings, or it’ll cause slippage or broken.

2. Put the side with small brass pin of the string into the string hole of tailpiece, and pass the other end through the hole on the scroll and wrap it neatly on the peg.(Turn the pegs of the G & D strings counterclockwise with your left hand, and turn the pegs of the A & E strings clockwise with your right hand.)

3. Using a tuner(not included) / an app to decide whether the tune meets your demand.
