As a musician, one is often told to learn in all keys, so I have taken some of history’s most important music and have put it in every key signature ~ up to 6 flats and 7 sharps.
While a beginning musician may use this book, this is not a book for beginners, nor is it a method book of any sort. If you are just starting to read standard notation, you will benefit greatly from my book: 200 Easy Sight Reading Studies for Violin. It is available at the Robert Anthony Publishing website, or search here on Amazon.
The purpose of this book is to train your reading and aural skills, all while perhaps expanding your familiarity with repertoire from all periods of Classical Music. Some of the music gets quite demanding and expands the range to the edge of what the instrument is capable of.
This series has been divided into five volumes that are in somewhat of a graded order: the material in Volume 1 is the easiest, while the material in Volume 5 is the most difficult. You may work on the pieces in any order. This series of books will continue to be a valuable resource for you for many years to come!
